A quick summary of What we are doing, Where it is happening, Who is involved and Why?
4 pictures and a bit of commentary to tell the story.

What? We’ve come back for more. Stage 2 of the Camino de Santiago.
Walking from Pamplona to just beyond Logrono (capital of the Rioja wine region for those interested in such things)
Above is a picture of a slip of paper I found in my rucksack. It was given to me by the Nun who looks after the Church in Zabaldika (where I rang the ancient bell).
The Nun gave me an English and Welsh version. She was prepared to greet Pilgrims from just about anywhere.
I was struggling to explain the motivation for walking the Camino earlier this week.
The points on the piece of paper pretty much cover most of it.
“The Camino breeds community: community that greets each other, that takes interest in how the walk is going for the other, that talks and shares with the other.”
I like that, It’s a good feature of any community, taking interest in others.

Where? Bristol Airport.
We’ve been delayed by a few hours because the plane was stuck in Edinburgh due to Storm Amy.
Having arrived unfashionably early (5.30 am) it feels like we have been here forever.

Who? Me and SB (who’s embraced the Camino lark to a degree I wasn’t expecting).

Why? Why is there so much velour on display at Bristol Airport.
One of the consequences of hanging around the airport for hours means that I’ve become very interested in a peculiar backwater the fashion niche: ‘travel leisure-wear’.
Why is there so much velour on show? Where do people buy it? Is it any good?
All big questions – I’m desperately trying to wipe from my mind.
Next stop the Bilbao Intermodal Transport Hub.
So good that I keep asking myself, why can’t we have nice things like this in Cardiff?
